Work started today (Wednesday): mid way through the half term holiday that should have shielded residents from the brunt of traffic misery.
But a delay – no-one seems quite sure of the reason – means that the digging up of one of Marlborough’s busiest roads to lay electrical cables servicing the town’s new care home will now continue well into the next school term, and may not be completed until March 4.
Brace yourselves motorists – hell is just around the corner.
