Traffic on one of Marlborough’s most congested roads is about to get a whole lot worse.
Major roadworks are planned for Salisbury Road – between the junction of Cherry Orchard and Priorsfield – for ten days beginning this Saturday, February 14.
Workmen will be laying 82m of electrical cable, and the work involves digging up both the road and pavement. Traffic flow will be controlled by lights.
Although the area to be excavated is fairly short, repercussions are likely to be felt on roads across the east of the town, and smart drivers will know to avoid the area during rush hour.
