St Francis School is celebrating a bumper crop of Sports Scholarships this year, with four school leavers achieving scholarships including two prestigious awards to Dauntsey’s.
Edward, Mischa, Harry and Jessica all excelled at their assessments and are now taking their places as scholars at Warminster and Dauntsey’s. Despite delays and restrictions imposed by COVID the four St Francis pupils showed outstanding resolve and resilience, impressing senior teachers in the process.
Kevan Brown, Director of Sport, at St Francis explained, “I am so proud of all our pupils who went forward for Sports Scholarships, including the four who were ultimately successful. St Francis believes in an ‘opportunity for all’ approach to sports, and this translates into happy, successful athletes who achieve amazing results. I look forward to following our pupils’ successes post-St Francis, and wish them every luck.”
Headmaster at St Francis, David Sibson, added, “The St Francis model of education focusses on breadth and opportunity; the incredible scholarship results we have achieved this year, not just in sport but across the board including academics and music, are testament to how effective this is. Our four Sports Scholars have shown incredible determination in their pursuit of a scholarship, alongside impeccable team spirit and I have no doubt that they will be as much of an asset to their Senior Schools as they have been to St Francis.”
