Victoria Hammond and daughter, Laura,17, will take to the skies on Sunday September 10th in order to raise money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Their 15,000 feet skydive over Old Sarum is being sponsored by Plumbstop, Melksham who will match the amount that Victoria and Laura raise. If you would like to sponsor Victoria and Laura click here.
Victoria told Marlborough.news, “Our target was £1000 and we have already exceeded that. We are grateful to Plumbstop, who my husband works for, and who are also covering the cost of the skydive.”
Victoria decided on a charity skydive as she felt it was particularly appropriate as the money is being raised for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. She said, “Wiltshire Air Ambulance is such a good cause. They rely totally on charitable donations to keep flying. We take it for granted but it’s good to know it’s there and anyone would be eternally grateful if they ever needed it.”
“Flying through the air should be an adrenalin boost. I’m excited but getting a bit anxious now. I’ll need a stiff glass of something when I hit the ground!”
All the family will be there to support Victoria and Laura on Sunday – fingers are crossed that the weather stays fine.
