Ramsbury Primary School pupil organises Ukrainian Christmas present appeal

Ted, a Year 6 pupil attending Ramsbury Primary School, has organised a very successful Ukrainian Christmas Present Appeal in the school.

Ted asked families at Ramsbury Primary School to donate new, and as new, gifts to be given to children in Ukraine this Christmas. Suggested gifts were colouring pencils, pens, balls, soft toys, hats, gloves, socks, games – wrapped in shoeboxes or as individual gifts. The results were amazing. The Ramsbury children brought in many lovely gifts, all wrapped and labelled with an approximate appropriate age written carefully on the label.

Sian Haynes, Class 6 Teacher, said, “We have been so impressed with how Ted has organised this Appeal. He has galvanised the rest of the school in supporting this wonderful charity and we are all very proud of him.”

UK to Ukraine has raised over £200,000 in aid for Ukrainian refugees. They have delivered 45 generators, medical supplies, food and other essentials to Ukraine.
