OK, it won’t be outdoors, in a field, in the middle of December (Saturday 17) but the Christmas MantonFest will be in the dry warmth of The College Memorial Hall and bring Slyde (No1 Slade tribute band – try saying ‘Slade’ with a Birmingham/Wolverhampton accent) and top local (and international) Blues band – Barrelhouse – to the big audience there.

MantonFest Impressario Roger Grant, Musical Director Stuart Whant and the rest of the MantonFest team are creating this festive fundraising concert to help the Jubilee Centre on the High Street provide a communal warm space as well as hot food for those who find themselves in need this winter.
Stuart Whant told marlborough.news: “We are all looking forward to being part of a great festive night with as many people supporting this important cause as possible. We hope to see many Christmas jumpers and Santa hats worn that evening. We are planning a special set for the night and can’t wait.”
Tickets are priced at £15 in advance, but £20 for anyone turning up on the night and buying on the door if it’s not completely sold out in advance.
Available from the MantonFest website plus Sound Knowledge in Hughenden Yard and Elaine Travel in Marlborough High Street.
