On Friday 25 November, between 10:30am and 4pm there will be an opportunity to browse through rails of pre-loved clothes and racks of pre-loved shoes in a sale being organised to benefit two local charities – Swindon Domestic Abuse (Swindon Women’s Aid) who are committed to empowering and supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse and the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust who work in partnership with Wiltshire Police to provide a free home security service for elderly & vulnerable in the community.

There will be plenty to look at, all donated locally, some items probably never worn but everything will be priced to sell, at bargain prices.
It will cost nothing to come and look as there won’t be any entry charge.
Of the charities benefitting from the sale – the Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service (SDASS) is free and confidential, serving Swindon and the surrounding area. It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, supporting ALL victims of domestic violence. Their helpline is – 01793 610610 – available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and calls are always answered by an advisor.
The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust works in partnership with the Wiltshire Police to provide a home security service and online safety service for over 60s, 18+ with a registered disability and victims of domestic abuse throughout Wiltshire and Swindon.
Any clothes or shoes still on the rails or racks at the end of the day will go the SDASS charity shop in The Parade, in Swindon.
If you have any clothes that you would like to donate, bring them to the Town Hall on Friday and we will hang them for sale immediately.
