Pewsey Vale School Open Evening aimed at students in Years 5 and 6 who will moving to secondary school in 2021/2 can now be accessed here. As well as a welcome and presentation from Headteacher, Neil Pritchard, visitors can explore the different subject areas that pupils in Year 7 will experience.
Pewsey Vale Staff and students have worked together to produce the subject area guides. There are explosions in the Science labs, interactive activities in MFL which seems to involve using fly swatters in a vocabulary task and in the Maths Department, hailed as the subject of the Gods, we can see young mathematicians in action making it all seem as ‘easy as Pi (πr2’) !
Neil Pritchard is keen to stress that as a small school Pewsey Vale knows its students well. “We take a child centred approach and provide a personalised approach…we know how to support and challenge our students… We want our students to be exceptional, innovative, resilient, aspirational, successful and to be themselves.”
On Thursday October 15 a live Q and A session will be broadcast at 6 pm. Parents can send in questions which will be answered in the live broadcast by the Senior Leadership Team. Please email any questions to questions@pewsey-vale.wilts.sch.uk
Thursday October 22 falls in half-term and since the school is shut there is an opportunity for parents and prospective students to book a face-to-face meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team between 4pm and 7pm. To make a booking parents should contact the school on 01672 56500.
