Great Bedwyn Surgery held an innovative and (very productive) Flu Jab session on Saturday 23 September, combining their annual Flu Clinic with a Fete, raising money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
An extremely successful day, the sun shone and many people turned up – not just those that were coming for a jab – and overall a very impressive £1,500 was raised for the Air Ambulance.
As well as the Fete stalls there was a display of some beautiful old classic and vintage cars and bikes.
Mingling with the Tombola, nail painting stall and tea & cakes were an old convertible Alvis, Austin 7, AC Cobra, Aston Martin DB9 and a beautiful and extremely rare 1912 Triumph H Motorcycle.
Raffle prizes included a meal for two at the Harrow, the Michelin starred restaurant in Little Bedwyn as well as exclusive Prestat Chocolates and a voucher for The Roebuck in Marlborough.
“We would like to thank everyone who supported the event and dug deep” said Practice Manager, Keith Marshall, adding that as well as enjoying the fete “many of those who came will avoid the worst of the flu over the winter”.
