Overcast, maybe, but thankfully the rain kept away and Marlborough was able to hold its own Remembrance Ceremony for the first time in two years, starting with a Parade in the High Street where the Mayor and 4MI’s Commanding Officer were able to inspect the troops of the Battalion along with Marlborough’s British Legion, Scouts, Guides, Army Cadets, Air Cadets and the other groups taking part in today’s Parade.

Phoenix Brass led the Parade into Barn Street, via Oxford Street, past the War Memorial, whilst taking a salute from the Town Council Party at the High Walls, and then 4MI led the Paraded back up London to the High Street.

A smaller group representing all participants made their way back to the War Memorial by the roundabout at Barn Street where, at 11.00 the Last Post was played by a member of Phoenix Brass, and the laying of wreaths took place.
