
Last night, Marlborough Business Networking group (MBN), was pleased to welcome Grant Ford as speaker at their April meeting. Grant is founder and owner of Grant Ford Ltd, which offers International Fine Art Advisory and Valuation services. The company is based in Cross Keys House in The Parade, Marlborough. Grant has been senior paintings specialist for the BBC’s Antique Roadshow and is a well-known expert in Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite, Irish, Scottish, sporting and European art. He worked for Sotheby’s for 30 years.
Grant spoke about his career and traced the changes in the art world and in technology together with the problems caused by Brexit which have led to the present day complex global art market. Grant’s business offers a range of art advisory services from carrying out valuations to guiding and advising private sellers and buyers. Grant is also a regular guest lecturer in the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada and he has written extensively for many publications.
Marlborough Business Networking is a Marlborough-based networking group started and organised by Print Image, McFarlane Property and The Parade Cinema. They host regular, mostly monthly, informal events at The Parade Cinema to give local business owners and community champions the opportunity to meet local people with the aim of generating new business, sharing ideas and generally networking.
