Krumbz cafe in Kennet Place, Marlborough has won ‘Best cafe in Wiltshire’ in England’s Business Awards. The award was announced in a ceremony in Bristol on Sunday, September 1st. Krumbz was nominated for the competition by a customer and subsequently gathered many customer votes as well as passing an inspection by a ‘secret shopper’ who visited. Four other cafes in Wiltshire were also nominated but Krumbz emerged as the winner – an impressive achievement, particularly after overcoming the devastation caused by Marlborough’s January floods.

Joint owner of Krumbz, Sylvia, said, “It was such big surprise. I was just blown away especially after all the trouble with the floods at the beginning of the year. It’s amazing for me and my husband to achieve this in less than two years.” Sylvia and Roy only took over the business in December 2022.

Roy commented, “I would like to thank our whole team, our customers and the community who have made this award possible. Everyone has been so supportive, especially since the floods.”
Krumbz will now be entered into the National Business Awards finals. The winner will be announced in November. Watch this space!
