Earlier this afternoon (27 September) just gone 3 o’clock in Herd St. An Army personnel carrier has just demolished the garage doors of a unit further down the hill (arrow points to the debris lying in the road).
A perfect and timely example of the problems Marlborough faces (see story below – ‘Marlborough traffic: meeting hears positive, practical ideas – but on the bigger picture it was more like dreaming‘) with too many large vehicles each fighting for a piece of the road with the inevitable resulting collateral damage. Thankfully no pedestrians were involved and the damage this time was only to property, but that is serious enough and extremely unwelcome.
