Fine Lines is the latest shop to open in Marlborough’s rejuvenated Hughenden Yard. A family business, the shop specialises in upcycled furniture, Wiltshire crafts, homeware and gifts. The shop is the official stockist of Frenchic Paint for the Marlborough area and has a full range of colours and varieties.
Fine Lines is keen to be environmentally friendly by encouraging the recycling of old furniture. Amanda Bauch, who has opened the shop, together with her parents, told marlborough.news: “Upcycled furniture is my mother’s particular interest. In the New Year we hope to run workshops in the art of recycling furniture.”
“We are trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible. All the needlefelt and knitware items in the shop are ethically sourced. We have beautiful weaves using hand spun fleeces from local farms. We have items created using Alpaca wool, cards and drawings and paintings from local artists.”
The shop also sells Christmas gifts, aroma lamps, signs, candles and soft toys.
“We are very excited to be in Marlborough and have had a lovely welcome from other traders and the public.”
Fine Lines is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday 11 am to 3 pm.
