Expect to queue – roadworks at Salisbury Road from Monday for a week

Motorists are being warned to “expect severe disruption” as the busy A346 Salisbury Road is resurfaced.

The roadworks will begin on Monday, February 29 and could take until Tuesday, March 8 to complete.

The works will take place between the A4 London Road and the roundabout adjacent to the business park.

Last week preparatory works, controlled by four-way traffic lights, brought traffic misery to motorists and residents, with queues into town trailing to Ogbourne St Andrew in the north and Cadley in the south.

Wiltshire Council has not said how it intends to manage traffic this time.
