
Police are appealing for witnesses or dash cam footage relating to a serious accident that happened at 5.10pm on Wednesday (11 September) afternoon. We understand that the accident took place near to the East Kennett turning on the A4 and involved a cyclist and a motorcycle.
Both involved were travelling eastbound. The cyclist, a man in his 60s was taken to hospital with potentially life threatening injuries. The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was also taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening.

Campaigners have been pushing for a speed limit to be imposed along this stretch of road, along with other appropriate safety measures as there have been other major accidents in recent years.
