The Marlborough to Broad Hinton road was closed for three hours on Saturday morning (February 27) after a car came off the road at Rockley and destroyed a road sign and collided with a tree.
The blue Vauxhall was being driven by a 50-year-old man from Avebury who was driving towards Marlborough.
Police, fire and rescue tenders and an ambulance were at the scene. The driver suffered multiple injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police are applealing for witnesses to the crash to call them on the 101 number.
The car was later removed on a truck.
