A high value haul of Omani silverware and jewellery, including a traditional Omani dagger and scabbard in silver and gold, was stolen on Saturday night from a house in Westcourt, Salisbury Road, Netheravon.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for information about the burglary, the thief or thieves climbing a fence before breaking into the property and also taking silver anklets and bracelets, some of the anklets containing small stones or seeds inside which rattle when shaken.
Anyone with information or any jewellers who may have been offered Omani jewellery or silverware – the items are worth thousands of pounds — is asked to contact PC Trevor Morgan at the Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
