Boots in Marlborough High Street was raided on Sunday morning by thieves who smashed a low level shop window to gain access and escaped with bottles of perfume and aftershave believed to be worth thousands of pounds.
A white J registered Nissan Micra car was stolen earlier on Sunday from the River Park area in the town and is believed to be linked to the robbery of Boots, which happened just after 5am.
Marlborough Police Support Oficer David Tippetts revealed: “CCTV evidence that we have would suggest that the car was involved. It looks like the suspects checked out the shop before breaking in, the car circled the car park several times before the robbery.
“Although it happened early in the morning it would have been getting light outside so it’s possible that there would have been people in the area who would have been able to see what happened.”
The broken window has now been boarded up.
