An accident early this morning (Sunday 23 November) on Grand Avenue in Savernake Forest has left a 21 year old man dead and three passengers seriously injured. Unconfirmed reports indicate that a second man has since died.
The accident occurred at 5:40 this morning when a silver Renault, driven by the man who died ran off the road after he lost control and crashed into a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, three of the four other occupants were taken to the GWH in Swindon and the John Radcliffe in Oxford, whilst the fifth passenger was treated for minor injuries.
Police are appealing for information, and anyone who witnessed the incident should call 101 and ask for either Sergeant Barry Cardell or PC Hall, or via Crimestoppers on 0800555111 where information can be left anonymously.
