Marlborough’s first food and wine festival expected to attract 8,000 visitors

Some 8,000 people are expected to attend Marlborough’s first food and wine festival being held on the Common on the weekend of May 10 and 11.

The Mayor, Councillor Guy Loosmore, revealed the figure to councillors in his announcements at Monday’s Town Council meeting.

 “There are big celebrities taking part, so it will be, in my mind, a big enjoyable event,” he said.  “We look forward to that. It is another first for Marlborough.”

“And it adds to the increasing tapestry of events that go on in the town.”
