Wiltshire Council tweeted a little while ago to announce that a decision had been taken to cancel this Saturday’s Market in Marlborough High Street due to the forecast high winds:
There is a Yellow warning from the Met Office of strong winds, between midnight Friday night and 6pm Saturday with gusts expected to exceed 40mph.
It’s also likely to be pretty cold: the first weekend when Winter has struck and the combination of strong cold Northerly wind and a generally low temperature of 2-3 degrees at best during the day, the Met Office forecast that with the wind chill it will ‘feel like’ minus 4 degrees. So best to either stay indoors or wrap up warm…..
