Fund raising for Prospect Hospice’s new outpatient centre at Savernake Hospital has reached £18,425. The target that needs to be reached is £75,000.
But they are now a whisker away from £20,000 and the Friends of Savernake Hospital and the Community have pledged to match the first £20,000 raised – providing it was raised by March 1 next year.
So another £1,575 raised will put the appeal more than halfway to its total.
Prospect’s Director of Income Generation, Richard Hammond is delighted with the progress made since the scheme was announced and the appeal launched on September 30: “Our thanks go out to the people of Marlborough and the community of Savernake Hospital, who have responded in the best possible way by giving their generous support to this scheme.”
“With their help, the day comes closer when the services many people currently travel to Wroughton for will be available to them at Savernake Hospital.”
Donations can be left at Prospect shops in Marlborough, Pewsey and Hungerford, or by ‘phoning 01793 816161 or via the Prospect Hospice website.
