The CIC three star eventing competition at the Blenheim International Horse Trials ended on Sunday (September 14) with British riders led by Francis Whittington (on Easy Target) taking the top six places. Whittington was also took fifth place.
Seventh place went to New Zealander Tim Price on Ringwood Sky Boy. He was also placed twelfth on Haddon Trump card.
In the CIC three star for 8-9-year-old horses Jonelle Price took first place on Faerie Dianimo. New Zealanders Andrew Nicholson (Cillnabradden Evo) and Jonathan Paget (Clifton Signature) came in second and fourth. And Australia’s Paul Tapner (Inidian Mill) and Sam Griffiths (Favort Z) were third and fifth.
Not be left out, Jonelle’s husband Tim – they are based at Mildenhall – was placed fourteenth on Bango.
The 8-9 year-olds are up and coming horses which have only recently qualified for the three star competitions.
