Nick Maurice writes:
I very much regret that, owing to the coronavirus pandemic, we have had to cancel our next two recitals in the “Brilliant Young International Musicians in St Peter’s Church” series. However, as I have written to Judith Choi Castro and JP Ekins who were to have played for us (again) on 5 April and Louise Cournarie who was returning to give a piano recital on 3 May, would they please open our 2021/2022 (10th) series. We have provisionally booked Judith and JP (as he likes to be known) for 24 October 2021 and Louise for 28 November 2021. The dates seem a long way off but I know that the wait will be rewarded.
In the meantime we have the 2020/2021 (ninth) series to look forward to, thanks again to the wonderfully generous support from Elisabeth Cross. Details are listed below.
But before the tenth series starts we have Charles Owen playing Bach’s Goldberg Variations (again for us) on Sunday 13 September 2020. Absolutely not to be missed and, as he tells me, he no longer needs a score. Thus his performance will come ‘wholly from the heart rather than partially from the page!’
All recitals will start at 7.30 pm.
