As Secretary of the Marlborough Branch of The Royal British Legion, I thought you might be interested to know that even in these difficult times we have been able to collect much needed funds for our Charity.
We have been able to have two tables in the High Street and one in Tesco for the last two Saturdays. These tables have been manned by volunteers, and we are very grateful for the generosity of all those who made donations.
We are also very grateful to Tesco for allowing us to erect a table in their Store and to those businesses who have taken collecting tins and trays of poppies. I enclose some photos that show our volunteers in action, including The Mayor who manned a table in the High Street under atrocious weather conditions last Saturday.
