Sirs,
Driving along Marlborough High Street last night and seeing the Christmas lights, I wondered why they have been allowed by the Council this year when we are all being encouraged to reduce our electricity consumption in these difficult times?
Maybe for a few days over Christmas would have been more sensible. And what about all the other lit-up High Streets around the county and country?
