Marlborough High Street Christmas Tree – letter from Jenny Gray

Sirs,

Marlborough’s High Street Christmas tree is once again surrounded by plentiful, flapping, dingy white banners advertising its donor – this does not look very festive and this year the banners dwarf the somewhat meagre tree.

Could the Town Council not run to purchasing a tree and displaying it more attractively?
