Sirs
The leaflet being delivered to the residents of Marlborough and asking them to say “NO” to the Town Hall proposals and signed by the six conservative councillors is a curious document.
That there should be a consultation process is the view of the majority of the Town Council and is therefore the policy of the Town Council.
Why do a minority of town councillors (the six Conservatives) feel they have the right to have a private process which talks directly to the electorate.
They might not like, or agree with the decision of the majority on the Town Council, but they should abide by the view of that majority: the process is called democracy!
I therefore find myself agreeing with the views expressed by Councillor Rich Pitts.
