20mph limit – no signage – enforcable? Letter from Les Brown

20MPH with no signage, I didn’t think Wiltshire Council could amend the speed limit, and not put up the legal signage, there is a whole host of regulations inc. 20 signs that need to be positioned before the road changes from a 30 to a 20, you know the circular sign, red ring around the circumference, 20 in black numbers on a white background.
Until these are positioned to comply with the regulations, Wiltshire Council can not demand the lower speed limit be enforced I don’t think Wiltshire Police would/could enforce it either.

As none of them (road signs) are posted, at least not that I’ve seen, I suspect that no-one will take any notice!
