

The saplings will rejuvenate Burnt Wood which lies on the edge the land once occuopied by Ramsbury Airfield – and which still has some physical evidence of its wartime use.
The memorial project was led by Claire Costello with the Kennet Valley at War Trust. It is a joint memorial bridging the two world wars – and marking the centenary of the Armistice and the centenary of the Royal Air Force.
