Bay Meadows family day

The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust project at Bay Meadows is putting on some family events during the half term holiday. Anthony Atkinson, Community Engagement Officer, said, “Please come along to join in the activities and see how the project has been developing. The site will be open for these events on the specific days but it is still not open to the public until the fencing and paths have been completed which will hopefully be sometime in mid-June. Boots are advisable as some areas are a bit muddy but it is drying out nicely. Currently there is only one access point from the top (north end of tin Pit lane) down the council path. It is a little steep and uneven but well worth the walk past the horses and river.
We are also in partnership with Wiltshire Ornithological society to encourage younger people to engage with bird song and identification in Savernake Forest.
