David Kinnaird is the Liberal Democrat Candidate for East Wiltshire. David is an Army veteran who retired as a Royal Signals Major.
He has lived in Wiltshire for 29 years with his wife Lisa and their three children. He gained an MSc in Information Systems and an MA in Defence Studies whilst serving, and since leaving the Army has worked successfully in the technology sector. He recently successfully launched a UK software business into the US which subsequently floated on the UK stock exchange.
David has dug trenches all over Salisbury plain. He has been a school governor, planted hedges across the Pewsey Vale, DJ’d for PTAs and Young Farmers and is now calling out Thames Water to get answers for sewage impacted residents. He will be a real world, accessible, local MP who understands technology, business and family life here.
David suffered a severe stroke in 2020 but has made a full recovery. Had it not been for rapid action from those around him, the NHS, and the Great Western Hospital Stroke team he would have been permanently disabled. David knows about the need for strong healthcare and the need to support the NHS firsthand. He is passionate about the need to address the health and wellbeing of not just local people, but everyone nationally.
David said, “I’m not a career Politician. I simply want to be your representative in Westminster. This is my home; my community and I care about it. This is not just a ride for a seat in Parliament. I’ll serve you with care, honesty, and integrity no matter how you voted. Be brave with that vote and let’s take back this seat for the people who live here.”
Be Brave. Vote Dave.
