The day will end with a School Armistice Centenary Remembrance Service for pupils, staff and parents in the afternoon at St John the Baptist Church in Pewsey, led by Reverend Jennifer Totney.
Headmaster David Sibson said, “In order to engage pupils in the Centenary Commemoration and to underline the importance of this significant historical event, we are running a series of events from which the children will learn the implications, consequences and outcomes of WW1 from spiritual, moral, social and cultural perspectives.”
“The activities, will be lots of fun as well as educational and will be run as part of our CLICK programme, promoting the following skills in pupils; Collaboration, Leadership, Independence, Communication & Kindness. It’s going to be a very special day.”
In the last few weeks the pupils have also made ceramic poppies and a selection is on display in the entrance to the school.
