On Thursday last week (25 July) Finn Mulvey (14) and Jennifer Almond (15) won the Marlborough Junior Open at Marlborough Golf Club against strong competition from players representing many other clubs.
Finn’s net 66 was four shots clear of the field which included some of the best young players from the thirteen other clubs including Sunningdale. To complete a very successful day for Marlborough, Jennifer Almond’s 73 was the best net score for the girls.
Richard Pickles, Members Chairman at Marlborough Golf club commented: “We are lucky to have such wonderful youngsters for which some credit must go to Simon Amor who puts so much into coaching our
juniors.”
