The bowls club raised £300 towards the designated box, through a variety of fundraising events, and the bright new box is now installed in its rightful place on the Bowls Clubhouse wall.

The scheme only provides funding for the defib, and not the box in which it resides.
As this defib’s location was to be at the Salisbury Road Rec, Keith Marshall who also runs the Over 50s walking football in Marlborough, approached the bowls club to see if they would be happy to part fund the new box, with the balance being picked up by MYFC. A number of the walking footballers are members at the bowl club as well.

Both Phil Davenport (Bowls Club) and Keith Marshall (MYFC) are happy to support and encourage groups within Marlborough to become Defibrillator aware and how to perform basic CPR. For further information contact Keith via the Marlborough Youth FC website www.myfc.me.uk or drop into the bowls club and ask for Phil Davenport.
