They were guided by art teacher, Alice Saunders at Pewsey Vale School and Sue Philpott, Art Co-ordinator at Pewsey Primary.
Alice Saunders told marlborough.news, “The children were really involved, extremely enthusiastic and excited to be involved in the project. I led a creative arts day where all the pupils in Years 3,4,5 and 6 were introduced to the project.

“The project also gave Pewsey Primary students an idea of what they can do when they start secondary school. They were a great group of children to work with.”
Each student created a leaf for the tree depicting local scenes and landmarks such as the Pewsey White Horse and the Church. Local events such as the carnival were also represented using small oil pastel mono prints as well as a range of collage material.
Kellaway Building Supplies, Marlborough, donated the boards for the mural and it can be viewed over the next few months at the Vale Community Centre.
