At Preshute Primary School, staff, pupils and parents joined in with World Book Day celebrations. The whole school participated, dressing up as favourite characters from books. There was a lot of reading and a big tea party. The staff performed an entertaining version of Julia Donaldson’s The Scarecrows’ Wedding.

Preshute teacher,Charlotte Coulson, told Marlborough.news, “At Preshute Primary School we celebrated reading by dressing up and the staff performing the Scarecrows wedding to us. We swapped classes and read to each other and even invited parents in for a tea party. Thank you Tesco (and parents!) for kindly donating some yummy cakes. It certainly was a memorable day that the staff and children thoroughly enjoyed.”
