The waiting is over for St John’s students who today collected their A-Level results. A spokesman for the school said, “St John’s Marlborough is proud to announce an exceptional set of Key Stage 5 results for 2025’s Year 13 students, reflecting the hard work, resilience, and dedication of its students and staff.
This year, 189 students sat a total of 503 A-Level exams in subjects ranging from Sciences, Maths, and Economics to Business, Psychology, and Philosophy & Religion, with 21% of grades at A*– A and 75% of grades at A* – C.
We are equally proud of our applied courses, where students studying subjects such as Sport, Health and Social Care, and Forensics achieved outstanding results — 40% of grades were at Distinction or Distinction*.
These achievements have secured places for students at leading universities, prestigious apprenticeship programmes, and exciting employment opportunities.
Among the many successes are:
- Eleanor Best – A*A*A*
- Lauren Percy – A*A*A*A
- Mia Pitts – A*AA in A-Levels and A in EPQ.
- Eva Stuart, Greta Kennedy, Daisy Fry – A*A*A
- Thomas Rees, Sasha Minoudis, Una Lenehan, Emily Gillatt, Emily Chammings – A*AA
- Noah Hitchins – A*A in A-Levels and D* in Sport
Seventy-five percent of the year group applied to university, with some planning a gap year before beginning their studies. At the time of this press release, 84% of students had secured a place.”
Alan Henderson, Principal at St John’s Marlborough, said, “We are incredibly proud of our students. They have shown remarkable determination and ambition, particularly given the challenges of recent years. These results reflect not only their talent but also the dedication of our staff and the support of families and the wider community.”
Rachel Haig Williams, Director of Sixth Form, added, “Whether our students are heading to university, apprenticeships, or straight into employment, we know they will make a positive impact in their chosen fields. Today is a day of celebration for all.”
