Traffic chaos came to Marlborough this evening after a serious accident on the A346 near Ogbourne St Andrews.
Police were called to Wet Pits, near the village, just after 4pm today (Tuesday) where a female driver had left the road and hit a tree.
Fire fighters were called to free the woman from her car, and the Air Ambulance was scrambled to take her to hospital.
The road was closed in both directions.
