An unusual, memorable and very different end of term trip for a group of Pewsey Vale students. Thanks to the Dandelions Youth Sailing Expeditions and the Boleh Trust a team were introduced to sailing a full size yacht around the Haslar marina in Gosport.
Seemed to ‘hit the mark’….. Comments afterwards included: This is the best school trip EVER!” and “I wasn’t going to come but I am so glad I did.”, and “I wasn’t going to come to school today but I came because of the trip.”

The Boleh Trust is a volunteer charity amongst whose aims are to help young people and introduce them to sailing on the ‘Boleh’, a rescued and restored yacht which is now a fully operational sail training vessel based in Gosport.
Sailing is one of those things that you either love – or hate (seasick?). But for those that do love it (most do), just stepping aboard a yacht for the first time can make a very big change, but start to move, with the sails up and the wind beginning to gently to push the boat along through the water – this can really change a life. A great opportunity for the students of Pewsey Vale.
