Prospect Hospice have also been beneficiaries of the NFU Mutual’s national £1.92million ‘Agency Giving Fund’, and, as did Love Marlborough Kids Meals, (see story here), they also have received a donation of £3221.50, nominated by the Marlborough office of NFU Mutual.
This is the fourth year that NFU Mutual has used this fund to help charities, those on the frontline dealing with their communities, to assist with recovery from the pandemic and to help tackle the impact of the rising cost of living.
Each of the local NFU Mutual agency offices nominates charities local to them, in the areas they serve as each office is close to what happens in their respective area.
This donation has enabled Prospect Hospice to continue to provide outstanding, personalised and compassionate care for those in the community affected by a life-limiting illness. Prospect Hospice provides a broad range of services to thousands or patients, carers and family members each year at the hospice, in their own homes and in care homes. Only a quarter of their funding is from statutory organisations like the NHS, the rest they raise themselves.

Amy Riley, Agent at the Marlborough NFU Mutual Office said “We’re extremely proud to have nominated Prospect Hospice, for this donation and are delighted to be able to support the vital care they provide to our community. NFU Mutual’s Agency Giving Fund was first created in 2020 in response to the pandemic, and this ongoing support is helping to change lives, providing both emergency support and building long-term resilience.”
Tina Outlaw, Events and Community Fundraiser at the Prospect Hospice commented: “Thank you so much for this brilliant support and helping us continue to provide the expert clinical and emotional care our patients need”
