At the recent meeting of the Wiltshire Council ‘East’ Planning Committee the approval was given for the proposed Poulton Mill Equine Clinic development to go ahead. Originally discussed by the Town Council on 9 July 2021, it was accepted, then shortly after (18 August) rejected, a decision that was later reversed (on April 28 of the following year). So now, after some significant ‘yo-yo-ing’, Wiltshire Council has said ‘yes’…..
Approval was granted despite many objections. From (many) local residents, ARK (Action for River Kennet), Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, CPRE and the local Mildenhall Parish Council. One hundred and thirty seven letters of representation were received following the public consultation process, and of these, one hundred and fifteen were in objection.
