
More than a dozen caravans moved onto the public car park. Residents said they were concerned a several dogs had been set loose in the area, causing potential road safety issues.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Council said authorities, including the police, were aware of the situation and were “keeping an eye” on activities at the car park.
She said that as of Friday afternoon, no enforcement notice had been issued against the travellers, but confirmed the council had the right to ask them to move with 72 hours’ notice.
