The money has been used to purchase new furniture, kitchen appliances and kitchenware for the clubhouse and will also be used for picnic tables and a garden shed for the grounds.
The community clubhouse, which was funded by an extensive fundraising campaign to raise £85,000, houses Chilton Club Childcare which runs the school’s Early Birds Club, After School Club and Holiday Club. The space is available for use by the local community and is in a new purpose-built building which also houses the school’s new classroom for years five and six pupils.

We hope to re-introduce Chilton Chicks to the village. It was a much loved toddler group, and it would particularly benefit from the outdoor space and nearby parking. We welcome interest from those who would like to get involved in making that a reality too!”
A dedication service for the new building will take place at St Mary’s Church, Chilton Foliat at 2.30pm on Wednesday 22 January to enable the school and local community to give thanks for the new classroom and clubhouse. The service will be led by the Bishop of Ramsbury, The Rt Rev Dr Andrew Paul Rumsey. It will be followed by refreshments in the clubhouse.
