In their annual end of season celebrations, Marlborough Youth Football Club (MYFC) are delighted to announce that the following players have been awarded the highest club honour, as determined by a Public/Parents vote and a Club vote:
- Public and Parents Vote: Poppy Pearson (U7 Eagles)
- Club Vote: Oliver Wyatt (U8 Eagles)
MYFC Chair Stuart Slater told Marlborough. News: “Many congratulations to both Poppy and Oliver, and to all of the players who were nominated for this prize. It is not a small matter, we take this annual award seriously, reflecting the correct spirit of playing football, not simply just footballing ability itself. This is the foundation stone of our ethos at MYFC, that if we respect the game, respect each other, and work hard to learn and help others learn, the football will follow…”
The awards were presented on Saturday 2 July at the end of season event taking place at Marlborough Town FC, as part of MTFC’s community day. The club also wish to thank all in the community who took part in the vote.
