On the first Saturday – 7 June it’s ‘Live down the Lane’ to Elcot Lane, to the Marlborough Town Football Club ground for ElcotFest. Headlined by ‘Rouges’, supported by ‘Humdinger’, local favourites ‘Vooz’ and Devizes’ up and coming ‘Nothing Rhymes With Orange’, and more.

The next weekend it’s the big Free festival in Marlborough – ParadeFest ’25 where, for the whole of Saturday (14 June) The Parade is closed off (apart from Fire Engine and Kennet Place access) and the main Parade area is devoted to music and somewhere to have fun. No need to book, it’s free, just turn up and enjoy.

Friday 20 June through to Sunday 22 it’s the return of The Marlborough Festival. Lots of events, in three main locations – Priory Gardens, behind the Castle & Ball and the Town Hall, but also with events in The Parade Cinema, local restaurants and pubs. Kicking off with comedy in the Town Hall on the Friday evening, there will be food critic, broadcaster and Jazz Singer Jay Rayner performing in the Priory Gardens Marquee

And then, the final weekend of the month it’s ‘the big one’ – MantonFest. Now in it’s sixteenth year, this very popular day out – much more than a music festival, it’s a big chilled party in the natural amphitheatre offered by the field adjacent to Preshute Church. Time to enjoy, with the whole family, dogs, and gazebo. Even spaces to take your motorhome. A time and place to enjoy with friends, family, to socialise and relax – all with some great music filling the day behind. Top of this year’s bill is ‘Fleetwood Machine’ – yes, the sounds of Fleetwood Mac, supported by Abba Inferno, Cool Play and Slyde. But not to forget or ignore one of our most successful blues bands, locally based Barrelhouse.
Twelve hours in a field. But what a twelve hours, and what a field…….

Wiltshire now open for and promoting tourism – thanks to ‘VisitWiltshire’ – but will this help Marlborough?
