UPDATE: On Monday night the lights were off again. Adverse weather conditions are being blamed, and contractors are due to return to the town today (Tuesday) to address the issue.
This was the scene in Marlborough High Street yesterday evening (Sunday), as bad weather caused the Christmas Lights fuses to trip, plunging the town centre into cold, wet gloom.
But contractors were on the scene this morning, and the lights are now working again. The festive display can be enjoyed every evening from 2pm until midnight and, for those who have an early start, from 6am until 8am.
