Over seventy-five clients and guests enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea prepared and served by LINK Volunteers. Enthusiastic entertainment was provided by Marlborough Community Choir who performed a diverse medley of songs.

Particular recognition was given to two clients who were celebrating their birthdays.
LINK is a team of volunteers who assist residents in Marlborough and the surrounding villages who have trouble getting out and about or need a little help at home. They drive people to medical appointments, day centres, opticians, dentists, the shops and to visit sick relatives and friends. Volunteers also offer neighbourhood support by picking up prescriptions, shopping and home visits to provide companionship.
LINK members pride themselves on delivering a professional service to the local community. Volunteer drivers, who are paid a mileage allowance, covered some 39,000 miles last year and it is not unusual for the organisation to help as many as thirty-five people in a day.
If you would like to join an enthusiastic and dedicated team of volunteers, Marlborough LINK is always in need of more drivers and co-ordinators as well as people to provide neighbourhood support.
