Marlborough Academy of Dance and Drama (MAD) have created a video to say thank you to the NHS and key workers. They hope that those who watch and enjoy the video will make a donation to their Just Giving appeal which is supporting NHS Charities Together.
The idea for the video came from Mollie Fisher and dancers from all three MAD companies (junior, intermediate and senior) participated. They each dressed in one of the colours of the rainbow and danced to their own choreography in their own homes.
The singers wrote their own lyrics with the message – ‘Thank you for being there.’ Katy Trafford, Martha Godson and Evie Montegue-Smith all sing on the video.
Cheryl Heuston, founder and owner of MAD, coordinated the project. Gemma Forde, singing teacher for MAD, edited the video.
The video has already received a lot of praise. Emily Travis, a parent, said, “The children worked so hard and the end result makes me cry every time I watch it. Thank you MAD students for reminding us what’s important.”
